[modeleng] Re: Larger Matters - epoxy glue

I once tried to use some Loc-Tite in an experimental
project that required the part to be drilled and
counterbored after the adhesive had set.  Just the
rise in temperature by being drilled destroyed the
bond between the two pieces of metal.  I have seen
some pretty amazing things done with J-B Weld and
similar adhesives, but, if disassembly is required to
fix the problem, why not Sweat Solder some Brass or
Bronze shims to the inside surfaces where they will
not show?
