G'Day Alaan,
600 hrs? Hmmm..... A bit longer than I thought..... I did warn him that it
may take him 2 years......
But then, that wouldn't take into account me making formers, jigs for the
mill etc. to speed up manufacture and make precission easy. So maybe take
25% of for that. But still, lets call it 2 years doing 2 two hour sesions
per week. That should keep him occupied....... <SMIRK>
It may even get rid of some of that teenage attitude that he has
developed...... Well, I can hope anyway...... <GRIN>
The only changes I would make (of the top of my head) are as follows;
Bronze bushes in axleboxes
Angle iron bolted mounts for buffers (rather than bronzed together as per
original dirrections)
Horizontal stretcher to eliminate twisting of the frames
Drain cocks on cylinders (steam opperated will be the easiest to make and
fit) to help make it idiot proof......
Anything else is basically cosmetic, and therefore up to the individual.
Cheers,
Phill.
