Hi Guys,
I wish I had this at my school, it might have made me attend more. I am
going to contact this school and offer my full support, not far from me, to
get kids this interested is brilliant. I wis and hope, more engineering
societies would let kids, "Have a go" on quiet days if they are supervised.
As long as no passengers are carried, kids are supervised closely, I don't
see any reason they cannot have a go driving. Maybe the insurance companies
are a little scared, ok, I drove my first loco at 14, so what? It was a WD
2-10-0, No600, Gordon, formally of the longmoor military railway in 12" to
the ft scale. What would the insurance people say bout that?...
Either way, have a look at the website and their railway, it's better than
quite a few clubs I know, and without the political hassles!

Best regards all,
Dave.
