[modeleng] I'm in trouble

The wife has discovered Steam Dreams and likes the idea of going to 
Edinborough from London behind three different  A4s. Followed by a trip to 
Dundee behind 60009, and a return to Kings Cross behind Tornado, She's 
willing to pay - for Pullman class.
BUT

I've already booked to be away at a ham radio event in US that 
weekend.....................

What can be offered to get me back in her good books?

(I've already found it impossible to get a Valenttine's card that wasn't 
so yucky as to be an instant emetic) 

The best I have so far is to offer her  grilled venison steak Mirabeau 
with spinach and baked mushrooms and baked  potatoes and  tomatoes for 
dinner tomorrow...

She won't pay for volunteers to take my place........
