Dear All,
Does anyone know a test to differentiate Bronze from Brass?
I've picked up odd bar ends from the scrap man and car boot sales and
I want to avoid making steam fittings from brass. I know bronze is
redder, but I have some bits that aren't quite yellow or red. A search
on the internet only reveals how to tell whether an antique statue is a
copper alloy or iron - I don't think the magnet test is appropriate
here!
Thanks, Andy
