Hi Alan,

I wonder if the society of ornamental turners in UK would have a special
ellipse-generating chuck to turn the shapes in the lathe. I've seen some
mighty wild shapes generated by special geared chucks those guys use.

Or, could you grind a single point form tool (with half the shape cut in it)
and use it in an arbour on a mill to generate the ellipse on one side, then
turn the work around and do the other side?
