It is going to start off as a piece of 3/8" x 3/16" bar, and needs to end up 
as a perfect oval.
Finish? A good machined but not polished finish would suffice.

Yes, CNC sounds fine, but I dont have one!

I've got three ideas so far, but wont mention them as I would rather see 
what ideas others may have as I am sure someone must have had the same task 
at some time before.

How thick AJ? Finish? I should think the aluminium ones would be easy enough
cast. While I'm not a CNC enthusiast, it might be the way to go for steel.
