Hi All
A friend of mine is biding on two Hercus 260 lathes on Ebay both 15 year old
lathes are at a Melbourne school and have probably never been used but missing
a few bits. He phoned the seller today ( a teacher) who didn't seem to know
much about lathes and was told there are 5 of these lathes and a room full of
"junk" belonging to them. If he wins one he will have to get there quick ( 13
hour drive ) to get his pick of the good bits.
A well worn but well equipped 260 lathe ( ex CSIRO workshop ) sold at auction
here in Canberra last month for $4,500.00.
