I dunno either, but they're certainly coming back to me in HTML
The list is set to only send plain text, and HTML messages should
automatically be converted to plain text.
That is an anti-virus precaution and also reduces the size of emails (some
people have, for example, coloured "paper" or picures added), and also helps
stop many types of spam.
I just checked and the settings are correct (plain text only), so I cannot
explain it.
