Hand shapers are surprisingly small.
Roger Mason has a hand operated Adept, and his workshop, whilst not the
smallest I have seen, is certainly compact and well filled with everything
one needs / collects.

It would be hard to find a workshop so small that one could not be used, as
they can easily be lifted off the bench and stored, and then clamped to the
bench when in use.

I always wondered if I needed a hand shaper but I have never seen one being
used. I realise you need some room to swing the handle so it wouldn't fit in
the workshop but possibly in the garage.
