But Jeff,

Me, Charles and Al live way down here in the sunny Southland and can't
afford to travel up and visit our nice Canuk neighbors.[:>( There used to
be several nice steam Traction engines at the Adams steam/gas show until a
disgruntled ex-member called the state boiler and elevator inspector in.
Inspector outlawed all boilers made before ASME standards were adopted about
1915. Only a couple of engines are left running at the show and one of them
only because the owner had a spare $20,000.00 US to have a new boiler made.
The other one was made after the ASME regulations came in effect.

I have a Peerless model of 1914 that has perfect transmission gearing but
boiler needs work, primarily flues. This engine was used mostly as a
stationary power plant so the gears did not get much wear so I guess I need
to sell it to some one who can afford to fix it up. Its last actual use was
at the sawmill to supply steam to a walnut lumber curing vat though it was
operated a few times after that at the local county fair.
