[modeleng] Re: German railway museum fire

I have asked a friend of mine who is a linguist and railway fan if he could
provide me with some details on the fire He told me verbally quite a lot in
the pub last night and I have forgotten most of it.
The fire was started accidentally by two workman heating tar to repair the
roof. Most of the locos were diesel's and were totally destroyed. Its
possible a 45class steamer may be returned to static display.
My friend has promised to email me the latest details later this week.

the German railway museum in Nurnberg has gone up in flames - a great pity
as it was a historic semi-roundhouse and from the look of things, a lot of
the collection will have to be scrapped. Among them was the replica of Der
Adler.
