[modeleng] Gauge Widening

I've just spent the day laying 80 yards of track around the LM&WRs first 
  curve (40' radius).

One of the coaches (that has particularly deep flanges) is finding it a 
   struggle around the corner.

What's the maximum I can widen the gauge at the curve? (I'm using narrow 
gauge profile on a majority of my stock).
