They did indeed cease trading.
From memory, the father died.
The son tried to keep the business running, but failed.
He had some medical trouble that then stopped him working at all, and it all 
closed down.

Some time ago, all the machinery was sold, some at bargain prices.

This sounds like the final tidying up of loose ends.
A shame, but these things happen.

Hi All,

A few years back several listers wrote in with concerns about a supplier,
Fyne Fort Fittings. As I recall there were several complaints of excessively
long waiting times for goods after payment and some allegations of no goods
received after payment was made.

Today I read in the M.E. back pages a notice from a solicitor to any persons
having financial dealings or claims with Mr. Lockwood, Mrs. Lockwood, or
Fyne Fort Fittings.

Have they gone out of business? Anyone know what is going on?

If anyone needs the name and number of the solicitor I'd be glad to pass it
on.
