Note the detail "In need of overhaul!" I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole. From what I can gather from a mate who is a member of the Nene Valley Railway, (That's where it is at the moment), It requires a lot of boilerwork as well as a full mechanical overhaul. So, call it about £100,000 for the boiler, another £100,000 for the overhaul, plus the asking price of £50,000, you can have a full working loco for £250,000.... Oh yeah, it's continental loading gauge so you can only run it on the Nene Valley Railway.... Unless anyone knows different.... To my mind, much better to buy one of the locos on sale of a Brit design, loads around at the moment but you will need to spend around £250,000 to get them working.... At least you can run them on nearly any preserved railway then!!!!!
