A very interesting question.
I am fortunate in having a reasonably stocked workshop (for a hobbyist),
the corollary to that is that I have a poorly stocked bank account.
I have three "tools" I enjoy using (and it's quite an eclectic mix!)
1. A Mig Welder - I'm not that good at it, but it is quite satisfying
joining metal quickly and easily this way.
2. The DRO on the mill. I've had this about 18 months and wondered how I
managed without it. The lathe will be next when I saved enough money to get
one from Lester Caine.
3. My optical centre punch. Excellent for accuracy of centre popping, a
shame I can't match it with my setting up on the mill :-)
How's that then?
Cheers
Peter

What is your favorite tool, or rather, which tool do
you find yourself using the most? It may not be my
favorite tool, but I find myself using an eight inch
file quite a bit as of late! LOL!
