Hi Alan,
I followed the "869" series in ME where the build of this engine was
described. The construction was very high quality and it looked like the
best possible materials were used. Given Mr. Aspin's long career with locos
and casting technology, and his various ME books, there are probably few
people better qualified to build a great loco. It would likely be excellent
value and probably be very powerful, yet it is simple.
Hmm, purchase costs plus shipping to Canada would be, oh, two years' wages
or so.....
