And, when you think about it, the expansion differential works in your
favour to help seal the tubes - when the thing gets 'ot the tubes get
tighter.
You might have hit the nail on the head there Ec - boilermaker makin' sure
he gets some return business.
Full size locos used the copper tube/steel boiler system. Over here tho' the
tubes at the firebox end have to be not only expanded in but also beaded
over. Not particularly hard to do with home made tooling but is really
another example of AMBSC overkill.
