Hi Alan and All,
With regards to the Trevithick road run yes it was on and I went yesterday.
Now it is rerouted away from the High Street which was the traditional run
but is was so crowded that the police declared it a hazard.
They now run it around the back streets of Camborne but then route it back
to a little bit of the High Street so that they go up the original hill
which Trevithick went up with his machine.Mind you they call it a hill but
is more of a slope really. They also usually do a repeat run just up the
hill on Sunday.
Once again the Trevithick engine didn't run but was isolated on what looks
like a specially built low loader trailer.
However it must be the best free steam show in the country.
I do have a few photos but as this site does not allow pictures I can't post
them.
Regards
Clif
