As others have said, and as I bet you know,  the "bake on" clockmakers
enamel is different from enamel paint.

The former is available from Walsh, who regularly advertise in ME.
One maker is  W. G. Ball Ltd who have a website....somewhere.

To apply, sprinkle powder on clean metal, heat to a dull-ish red, when it
will suddenly melt and merge into a glass-like coating. There is of course,
flux to clean the metal, and a cheaper practice enamel to play around with.

One expert on using it is Tim Rickard, who I am sure would be happy to give
advice if you get stuck.
