Ian,
If you are meaning the type of Enamel as used in art/
jewelry making, it is placed on a metal object, the
ones I've seen were Copper, as a powder and cooked in
a kiln for the period of time it takes for the enamel
powder to melt. It was then allowed to cool and was
cleaned up. If this is the type you mean, I would
suggest contacting a craft shop or a jewelry supply
house.
