[modeleng] Re: Electronic Speed Controllers

Hi Peter and All,

What sort of Amperage are you looking to put through the 12 volt
controller?.
The reason that I ask is that some years ago ME Magazine had a circuit
diagram for a 12 Volt Controller which is pretty easy to build. It basically
used a 555 Chip to pulse some Mosfets.
I built one, put it in a 0-6-0 Diesel Shunter and it is still going strong
after 10 years. It probably handles about 50 Amps.
If you are interested, somewhere amongst the usual workshop accumulation I
might be able to find the diagrams again.

Regards

Clif
