With the standard internal rectifier/ regulator set installed, no, but
without it, and with a proper phase generating inverter circuit to produce
AC from the DC battery supply, possibly. Efficiency is likely to be low.

However, using a motor or motors from a golf cart or invalid scooter on
straight battery DC would be much easier and produce guaranteed results.
There is a company in the UK called Q4D that advertise suitable motors.
