Hi Harry
It is the Cross Slide scale mounting that I am particularly interested in.
The main reason I got the gear was to convert from the metric dials to imperial
readings - I'm a
dyed in the wool imperialist and cannot get my head round Napoleon's nonsense.
All my other tools
and drawings are imperial based.
I graduated to the M300 quite recently from a Myford S7 where all longitudinal
cutting was
controlled by the leadscrew handwheel, which of course is not present on a
'real' lathe. I still
have the S7.
I'll let you know what happens.
Regards
Dave
