[modeleng] Cylinder lubrication & condensation

It is a given that a steam cylinder needs all the
lubrication it can get when first starting off cold.
It is also a given that start-up time is when cylinder
condensation is at its greatest.

Question: when using a displacement lubricator on a
steam cylinder, is there any cause for concern that
the first "slug" of condensate will displace all/most
of the oil in the lubricator and the engine will run
"dry" until the oil is replaced?

Is there some trick of operation that will prevent
this from happening?
