[modeleng] Re: Crash-Full size.

Seriously, We have had a few crunches and a lot of near misses on the SVR
and none has ever been attributed to the loco crew or railway. This coach
driver was lucky and I don't want to prejudge any inquiry results but this
situation is becoming all too common on the big railway as well as preserved
railways. I will await the outcome of this with interest.

You will recall the 2 drivers killed on the RHDR, thats the loco drivers and
not the car drivers. Both motorists were found guilty of road offences but
were, in my opinion, not punished with any real severity. I do not know the
outcome of the crash on the SVR but to say, the locals still leave the gates
open on the occupation crossing and have driven across in front of a train,
albeit a light engine, since the accident. Perhaps they think a light engine
won't kill them!!!

Ok, off my soapbox now but this sort of thing really gets my goat and spoils
my hobby as well as some drivers lives.

Dave.
