Seems I recall several years ago that a tractor-trailer rig loaded with steel 
(pipe or structural) pulled around a clossed crossing gate and into the path of 
an AmTrak train.  I think several people were killed -- probably not the truck 
driver.  On a more amusing note, since no one was killed, a truckload of loose 
potatos lost its brakes and ran into the side of one of the Durango & Silverton 
narrow gauge locomotives.  Charles
