[modeleng] Re: Crash-Full size.

You can call me hard and unfeeling if you like, but I have no sympathy
whatsoever with motorists who endanger the railway by ignoring warning
lights at crossings - and for that matter, those who leave gates open. If
they get themselves killed, then it's a useful removal from the gene pool.
The guys I do feel really sorry for are the railway drivers, but I would
hope they can clear their consciences easily, as it isn't their fault. If
the motorists survive, I would like to see them put away for at least 7
years.....and never allowed to drive again.
Near where I live, there's an occupation crossing on what Dave calls the
'big railway'. We had a problem with some mad woman from about 3 miles
away who was opening all the gates from the fields as well as the
occupation crossing gates and letting the animals out....fortunately,
there weren't any accidents, but it got a bit close a few times.
Eventually, in conjunction with police and the local council, the gates on
the public footpaths got padlocked for safety......I gather they knew who
she was, but never caught her - she's subsequently died - I gather she had
a brain tumour, which was why she did it.

OK, off my soapbox.....
