A lateral view would be to let the corn ferment then use it as if it were
"oil fired" (although it would probably be closer to rocket fuel :-)

 You would need a mechanical stoker - probably of the endless chain variety
to be sucessful with it, couldn't just pack it in like coal or wood or the
fire would choke.

Price of corn around here you would prob'ly be better off burnin' dried
caviar.
