Hi Rich
Yes, I can work to the original parts but it would be nice to know what the
original sizes were for comparison. Intresting idea about using the
Blackgate castings.
I've got another Clarkson engine myself and bit by bit I am putting the
drawings across onto CAD mainly because they are so old and tatty that it
will not be long before they are unreadable. Id still like to find out what
happened to the originals, I heard a rumor that someone was threatening to
write a book about the company but cant remember who at the moment

Hi there Andy,
Just to confirm - you are overhauling - so you can at least work to the
original poarts for dimensions.
If you need castings, you could use the new Blackgates ones for the 3.5"
gauge A3, though I'm suspecting you don't need to replace many of them.
(Alan, one thought - if the Blackgates castings are available, then maybe
the trading in the Clarksons drawings will hot up a bit, as people will be
able to build the loco again.)
Yours,
Rich.
