Hi Ken,
There may be a case here for action under the Sale of Goods Act insomuch
that the Law states that an item should be of fit purpose for which it is
sold and intended. It is the suppliers responsibility for this as I
remember.
It may be worth reading up a bit on the Law a bit ( probably on the
Intenet ) and then thumpimg the Company over the head with the alternative
of replacement or action via Trading standards.
Nothing to lose and if they make a fuss then the resulting publicity will
not do their sales much good.
