[modeleng] Re: Book prices

Phill et al,

Regarding the hardback book of my alleged wisdom, I do get a small royalty
off of each book sold. Generally I receive a cheque 4 or 5 times a year,
but I don't make enough to buy a gold plated Rolls Royce despite what
Ozonian Terry may claim. I really don't see where I deserve any stipend at
all since I have already been paid for the articles when they were published
in Live Steam and Outdoor Railroading over the years.

Mate,

You should know by now that I was only pulling your leg about the book
price. I know you have nothing to do with the price.

Seriously though.... How do you get paid for your book? Is it per copy sold?
An upfront amount for X number of books, and the same amount per printing? I
have no idea how it works, so your first hand knowledge is the best I'll
get.

Cheers,

Phill.

Phill, I didn't set the price of my alleged "wisdom book" so don't hold me
responsible. Tel has an autographed copy so maybe he will let you look at
his!

Jesse

Gents,

I was just looking on the Camden web page to see if there were any books
that I wanted, and guess what I came across.....

The Shop Wisdom of Jesse Livingston

The price, which explains how Jesse can afford to drive a Dodge, is 35
pounds sterling !!!!!!! Almost fell of me Bloody chair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers,

Phill.
