Might I suggest that you get hold of a copy of The Examination &  
Testing of Model Steam Boilers (New Edition 2006). This is the Test  
Code that all of the national organisations and their affiliated  
clubs adhere to. It is available from the Southern Federation of  
Model Engineers for 40p + p&p. See www.southernfed.co.uk for more  
details
