[modeleng] Bit of a boast but ho hum....

Hi folks..... sort of gauging opinion here ....
My Myford ML7 has the early pattern imperial threadcutting gearbox
fitted, it needs the 25:12 pinion set just to cut the threads on the box
as it doesn't have a 2:1 reduction from the box onto the leadscrew.....
Basically I've figured out some simple-ish ways to cut metric (and some
BA) threads on it by combining "strange" sized changegears on the end of
the tumbler and specific settings on the gearbox itself. Frequently the
banjo needs to be set to fine-feed rather than threadcutting. Using the
technique I've recent cut an M49x0.8 and an M62x0.75 internal threads
and (slightly less recently) an M16x1 exterior thread. I'm pretty
certain I've not seen info on this before, all the "Metric on Myford"
stuff I have 9including one of DAG Brown's aux banjos expects the Myford
box to have the 2:1 reduction, without it you end up having to modify
published geartrains to halve the size of a driver or double a driven
and it frequently doesn't fit and you end up having to refactor all the
gears.....

Would it worth attempting to write it up for MEW? You thoughts
please.....
