[modeleng] Re: Best GWR books

Hi Alan
A good starting point would be Russell's 'Pictorial Record of Great Western
Engines' (2 volumes, Oxford Publishing Co, 1975). Although long out of print,
secondhand copies do turn up from time to time - but don't expect to pick them
up cheaply, they are highly prized possessions!

Regards
Ron

  Subject: [modeleng] Best GWR books

Someone has just sent me an email asking which are the best books that cover
  the GWR tank locomotives?
  Preferably including numerous photos.

As I am not at home right now, I cant look on my shelves, and prefer not to
  rely on memory.

  Anyone have any suggestions?

  Alan
