Hi,
Peter asked:

I haven't actually bought any yet, but I found:
http://www.stovefinders.com/p-mica-index.html
also there are other sites:
http://www.pleo.com/bcmica/bcmica.htm
http://micasales.com/
Looking at the mica which I have salvaged from the expired element I
think I can probably do a reasonable job by re-using this old mica, and
joggle the layers, so that the hole which was burned through the layers
by the arc is staggered in each layer. I'm not quite sure what
thickness of mica I need to withstand the normal 230v mains.
Cheers,
Roger Mason, in St. Agnes.
