If it's of any interest to anyone, a full set of old stock (Clarkson?) castings
and drawings for the Sanderson Beam engine just sold on eBay for $441/USD.
That's an engine I'd like to build but considering the old castings were known
to be spotty and difficult to machine, not to mention the cost, when time comes
I thought I'd try to build the "castings" up from stock.
I am making progress on my TICH cylinders and now have a need for some 2" cast
grey iron bar for liners. If anyone in the US has any laying about cluttering
up the workshop floor I'd be interested in helping you tidy up. I also looked
for centrifugally cast bar and a Google search turned up plenty under the
heading of "Unobtanium."
Regards,
Harry
