Yep. I can safely light a Bar-B-Q with either an Oxy-Acet or a Propane
torch. Never known to fail. BTW. Interesting use of BBQ. Local ModeEng
not having open fires, furnace or large enough Propane torch, lit his BBQ
and "soaked" his loco-frames overnight. Annealed then "reet gradely".
On the other "OT". I've had the opposite experience with a "youngster"
correctly telling Dad - and his pals - exactly how the Loco worked. That
lad will go far.

Ok, how many people can light a BBQ safely? How many people can lay a hearth
fire? How many people can light a simple bonfire safely and properly?
I get invited to BBQs just to light them, (ok and cook the grub, my
speciality, ain't given anyone food poisoning yet!!) Peeps are now getting
wise to the dangers of bbqs and lighter fluid, I have never used any
artificial lighting methods, just wood and paper. And my kids call me a
pyromaniac!! (I got a license for it)
