During WW2, my father taught radio at RAF Cranwell to a lot of Australians, Canadians and New Zealanders. After WW2 he wnet back to his job in the Ministry of Labour, which included handing out work permits. He told me @ i taught radio to enough Canuck, Diggers and Kiwis for them to take one way trips over Germany. they didn't need work permits in 1943 so I don;t see why they should have trouble getting them now'. After the war, radio hams in New Zealand and Australia sent us food parcels. I can just remember us gettiung one at home, and we needed it.....
