Waal, someone is buying up scrap metal.  I  now receive monthly postings
from a foundry I do business with in brass castings.  At one time it was
only maybe once a year that prices changed.  Also, over (or up depending on
where you live) here, scrap steel prices are such that everything made of
iron or steel scrap is bringing premium prices.  Result is that I constantly
see trailer loads of crushed automobiles on their way to the steel mill at
Jackson, TN.  Happen that I know a scrap dealer and if I think of it
tomorrow I gives him a call to see what he says.  Chink---ooops Chinamen
should have plenty of cash the way we are buying stuff from them while
producing nothing at home.  Wally World used to say ,"Bring it home to the
USA". but you don't see those ads anymore. Everything you pick up in their
stores says "Made in China".
