There seems to be a wild variation in scrap prices, pick a good yard &
become known to 'em & you do OK

Guess what I was trying to say was that I doubt that the China story is
responsible for the undeniable price rises in all metals, tho' no doubt it
is fostered by some as an easy excuse.

Rifle barrels? A bloke not far from me recently bought a pallet load of
perfectly good .30 cal cold forged, unmachined barrels for not much more
than I would pay for one decent barrel. Superceded stuff. Now if metal was
gettin' that scarce ADI wouldn't flog it off like that.
