I have been interested in the discussions about Jarrah because my father,
(who was an aircraft fitter in the 1940s) occaisionaly brought home blocks of a
material which he called Jabrock.
This material was made up of wooden laminations each about 1/16 inch thick
and appeared to be available in thicknesses up to about 3 inches. It was very
hard and surprisingly heavy for a product used in aircraft. Could this have
been
made from Jarrah?.
Another thing which has always intriged me is - what does a lignum vitea tree
look like?.
