Hi Alan
Not to my knowledge. I have seen a very nice 7.1/4" LSWR 0-4-4 tank at one of
the exhibitions, but I think it may have been a T1 class.
I remember reading in Don's write-up, that he had scaled the engine at 1" to
the foot, instead of the usual 1.1/16" to the foot. His excuse was that it made
the distance between the frames overscale, which gave him more room to get the
inside motion in.
That seems a dubious argument to me, but it makes it very easy to scale the
engine up to 1.1/2" to the foot scale for 7.1/4" gauge - just multiply
everything by 1.1/2, and hopefully everything will still be in 'round' sizes.
(Yes I know there is a purist element among the 7.1/4" gaugers, who don't
accept 1.1/2" to the foot as being near enough!)
Regards
Ron

Don Young did plans for the Adams O2 tank engine, these now being sold in 5"
gauge, by Reeves.(Fishbourne)
Did he or anyone else, do the same engine in 7 1/4"?
