My first thought is the problem of reproducing the required notes, rather
than identifying them.
The note from an organ pipe depends mainly upon the pipe length. Even on a
loco of this size it may be hard to find the space to fit somethign of the
required size.
A resonator box is one solution which works for a single note, but I am not
sure how one would arrange it for multiple notes.

Help !
Does anyone know what chord an A4 chime whistle makes ? My musical
daughter says she can hear that the lowest note is an F# (tone deaf Dad
hasn't a clue....), but I'd like to know what the other two are so that I
can make a whistle for a large 7.25" narrow gauge engine with that
marvellous sound.....
