[modeleng] Re: A bit of 'istory (OT)

There was a shop like that near me , he sold gas mantles, wicks for oil 
lamps, prickers for paraffin stoves & blow lamps. As someone remarked it 
smelt of paraffin, if he hadn't got it he would get it & he always knocked 
me 10 per cent off. He died 20 years ago & his wife sold up, the new owner 
packed up the iron mongery & sold wall paper & paint he didn't last long & 
the shop is now empty.
