[modeleng] 4QD

I wondered if any of the group have had recent dealings with 4QD?  I bought
a controller from them 9 years ago and it has done a good job over much of
that time. It has had a rest for 3 years and, now I am getting my new garden
railway up and running, I have brought it out of  its early retirement. It
doesn't seem to work as well as it did and I wanted to discuss this with 4QD
with a view to buying a new one (including their recommendations of which of
their models I should choose)

I have explored their amazingly comprehensive site www.4qd.co.uk  and find
there is one thing missing from it - a phone number! Indeed they go out of
their way to say that their prefered method of communication is email
followed by snailmail followed by fax. They certainly don't want to TALK to
anyone and I find that very customer unfriendly.

As I said, has anyone had any recent experiences of dealing with this
company in this way?
