Already did that. I'll have to check if the button on the interface is pressed in or out tomorrow. I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but if you want to hear back midi files or something like that, make sure that your keyboard is set to song mode. This is where I was stumped once before after setting up a midi interface. -----Original Message----- From: moaccess-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:moaccess-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Omar Binno Sent: Friday, April 03, 2009 7:29 AM To: MoAccess@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [MoAccess] initializing motif es The problem happens when i'm not in sonar also. The local won't turn sounds off with the way i have the current midi connections to the midi interface. Once I remove midi cables, everything works fine. Just to reiterate, my midi connection is as follows: Motif midi out going to the midi in (A) of interface. Motif midi in going to the midi out (A) of the interface. Note: I have the 2x2 interface, and it has midi in and out A and B, which is why I specified which of the ports I'm connecting the motif to. It's set to auto by default. You can get there by shift tabbing about 4 times once you are in the midi in settings option. Here's another problem I'm having now though. I'm trying to use midi rather than usb to work with the es and sonar. I'm connecting it to a midiman 2x2 interface. This is how I have my routing set up. From midi out of the motif, into midi in (A,) of the interface, and midi in from the motif, into the midi out (A) of the interface. However, what happens now is when I turn local off, I still get sounds from the keyboard. I'm assuming my routing is wrong somewhere and I'm getting a midi loop of some sort. Yes, no? The steps I'm following are: press job, then press enter, then press yes. However, the user patches are not returning to the factory settings. Am I missing any steps here? Thanks.
