Yes; works with any Motif.

You must write the commands by hand in hexidecimal SysEx format. The command 
codes are in the data list portion of the Motif manual, as part of the Motif 
MIDI specification. It is highly technical. It is the type of data that is used 
by people that write computer-based editors.

If you want to learn how to use SysEx, though, you need to start with some 
tutorial or something on the web that explains SysEx in general. The Motif MIDI 
specification just lists the format for Motifs, and the command types and 
formats that the Motif recognizes. It doesn't explain SysEx, though.

That sounds very interesting.  Can that be done with the XS?
Where can I find info on how to use sysex commands?  Is this in the Motif, or 
in the Sonar manual?
