Just a word of caution about birding Stan Tabor Rd, Noxubee Co. As Jeff Harris
said in his post about the Black-crowned Night Herons in this same area, toward
the south end of this road there is a private catfish complex that we've been
asked not to drive into or bird around. The area where the Nelson's Sparrow was
seen is near where the Black-crowned Night Herons are and where the Willow
Flycatcher was found last summer. This area is managed by the same people as
the catfish ponds are, so we are concerned that we will lose the opportunity to
bird along the north end of the road also if anyone trespasses onto their
property on the north end. So, if you go to look for any birds there, good
luck, but please be aware and don't venture off the road except to pull off the
road some to park.
Thanks,
Marion Schiefer and others in Starkville-Columbus area

Subject: [missbird] Nelson's Sparrow - Noxubee Co
Missbirders,
I'm reposting a report from eBird for those who may not use eBird. Paul Mack
and Jimmy Osborne of the Starkville/Columbus area reported a Nelson's Sparrow
off Stan Tabor Rd. in Noxubee Co. on Sunday with photos.

That's a great bird for central/northern Mississippi. Nice work, guys.
Good birding,
JR
