Subject: [missbird] BALTIMORE ORIOLES
Spring migrants or overwintering?
On Sunday, feb 12, we had 3 Baltimore Orioles visit our hot pepper suet
feeder.
One male and 2 immature birds which we could not sex. We only saw the male
on Sun and Monday but the 2 immature birds have come to the suet feeder
multiple times each day and yesterday we discovered there is a third
immature Baltimore. The plumage on the immature birds is distinctive enough
to tell them apart. We put out some oranges but so far they are not
interested. It's February--what are these birds doing here?
